Assistant Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
· Project Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
· Scheduling: Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met.
· Coordination: Communicate regularly with clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure project progress and address any issues.
· Documentation: Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
· Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed by subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
· Budget Management: Assist in tracking project expenditures and ensuring projects stay within budget.
· Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
· Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on project status.
· Team Support: Provide support to the project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related field OR 4 years of experience in project management within the electrical construction industry.
· Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
· Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
· Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure
· Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with regular trips out to construction sites. Ability to travel within the US up to 25%.
